Obama was born at Kapiolani Maternity Hospital. It was renamed Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children after it merged with Kauikeolani Children’s Hospital. The name on the long-form is the same as the name on the Nordyke certificate.

Did the Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital exist in 1961, or was it known by another name then?

Yes, it did exist. And, it was known by the name "Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital" Starting in 1961 I drove by the place at least once, most often two or three times a day as I lived nearby and I can tell you from my personal knowledge that the name was just as I have said.

Additionally, I have two children born there in 1965 and 1968 ant their birth certificates are basically just as the one produced by Obama, except mine were produced much earlier and look more like those published for the Nordyke twins.

This hospital name business if wrongheaded and ought to be dropped. It is a waste of time.
