The Simpsons jumped the shark, for me, with the episode that focused on the “the (inferior) Simpson gene is only carried by males.” Never went back.

The Simpsons is a liberal based show. The lampooning of the religious Flanders family, the nuke plant Homer works in.
Don’t get me wrong, it is funny sometimes. That’s the power of pop culture and comedy. You know something is funny when you disagree with it politically but you can’t stop laughing.
Conservatives and libertarians get their butt kicked there. South Park is the only show that conveys an anti big gubmint PC view to the unwashed masses.
That’s just a side benefit. Matt and Trey are brilliant and hysterical.

The Simpsons jumped the shark, for me, with the episode that focused on the the (inferior) Simpson gene is only carried by males. Never went back. Exactly. That viewpoint came to dominate the series. Took it to another level with the Simpsons movie.
