TOWSON, Md. -- A group of men is trying to reduce the number of people sexually assaulted in the U.S. every year by walking in women's shoes -- literally -- to bring attention to the problem.
Someone in the United States is sexually assaulted every two minutes, according to the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network.
Some of the men on the Towson campus literally walked a mile in women's shoes to bring awareness to the issue during Sexual Assault Prevention Month.
Mostly men showed up at Potomac Patio on the Towson campus on Wednesday to try on and then wear women's heels in all colors, shapes and sizes. They then took a one-mile hike across campus, where there were plenty of hills and steps along the way.

My husband would never walk a mile in my shoes, just like I would never walk a mile in his. He has, however, armed me with a .38 and 9 mm. I suppose I could jamb my stiletto heal (yep, still wearing them at 21 weeks preggers w/ baby #2) into the asshole’s crotch after I shot him. If he wasn't dead it would make him wish he was. Perhaps it's mentioned later in the article that they are encouraging women to protect themselves instead of doing silly stunts like this that prove or solve nothing?

Years ago, I recall going into a Value City store in Altoona, PA. I was in the shoe department, and before my eyes was a huge biker-type guy with tatoos, leather pants and chains hanging from his belt, trying on a pair of women’s size 11 high heels.
Wish I had a camera.

Here's something girly that's far more likely to prevent sexual assault than mincing around in high heels.

They did that here in York, PA last year. They looked ridiculous.

All the shoes used must have come from Sasquatch Obama’s closet. Where else do you find a woman’s shoe big enough for a man’s foot?

No. They did it to “impress” some girl they hope to sleep with at some point.

Would the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network ask Bill Clinton to ‘walk a mile in a woman’s shoes’???

Are they implying that women’s wearing high-heeled shoes is a cause of sexual assault?
