lol.
So much for that economic recovery.
Kalipornia probably losing more ‘real’ jobs than it can create as burger flippers.
Obama will want those people to rush out and get that house and VOLT car now that they’re working for Micky-D.
I hope McD’s hires some employees who can speak English. If they can afford the two employees at the window chattering along in Spanish, surely they can afford to replace them with one who won’t screw up my order! (Personal experience today.)
And invest in the GM stock to help the UAW, even though it’s being dumped at half the purchase price.
Remember when the economy really was creating lots and lots of jobs under Bush? The libs said “It’s just hamburger-flipper jobs”
What he hates the most is that his job is to “vouch” to potential employers about the character the EI recipient. Most of these unemployed but unemployment insurance-paid don’t even show up, without a call, on his scheduled interview.
Now if you don;t show up without even calling your counselor, you think you deserve a positive feedback? He told me he laughs when they start crying when he tells them his feedback deep-6’d their chances with some job offer like 7-11.
They must not have heard yet that McD’s food will soon be outlawed in case it might make us fat.
I think I’d rather work at 7-Eleven than McDonalds.
but of course all of these people who get those jobs in Kalipornia will now have to pay the state a license fee. right??
I am an employer at one of these Mcjob-type jobs and my consistent experience is that most people whom I hire don’t give the job the repect it deserves. It isn’t much of a job and it doesn’t pay very much (the customer is not going to pay 5 bucks for a bottle of pop so I can pay 15 bucks an hour).
However, it is a job that is a step to a better life, and I as an employer is more than willing to be an assist so a person could go to school on the side or something.
A person who doesn’t have a professional attitude when it comes to job searching, cannot expect much sympathy.
The very non-pc objective of these kinds of jobs is that not only you gain working experience but............it is also to hate it.
Hate it so much that finishing your education and graduating so you will not do those jobs ever again. When I was 17, I worked for Subway and 18 summer, McDonald’s. The final straw probably for me was when this girl I had a crush on walked in to my store (of all the McD’s in the entire freaking city) and noticed me, and had that sorry look in her eyes.
I had that experience too. I told her that I'd have money for college thanks to working two full time McJobs in the summer, and she was unimpressed. She took that as I wouldn't have much to spend on her, and I was surprisingly okay with the rejection. Any girl who thinks short term "how much can he spend on me today" might be fun to look at, but she's not a keeper. I earned my degrees, earned far more money than she could ever have imagined, and I've seen her a few times since. She still looks like an aerobics instructor and now she's interested in me, but I'm no longer on the market - and I'm grateful that, as a teenager with no more than the usual level of common sense, I dodged that mistake and chose not to pursue.
Now we know the quid pro quo for the healthcare waiver.
idiot kids who can't cook - $ = McDonalds.
New stock tip: look at 'convenience' foods, stuff in the grocery you just heet and eat.
Well in hindsight, she was hot BUT....eventually, I met HOTTER girls, who also found that planning long-term was a great idea. The objective is never to take your eyes off the ball.
Delberately done and supported so the teleprompter and chief can wag his tail at the next campaign stop and tout that he has created 50,000 new jobs and the economy is recovering, a##es including those who still believe his sh##
Kinda like prison. :)
In my opinion, it also functions as a test for better things. This job is a gateway job. If you come in as if this job really matters and perform like the job really matters, at some point, somebody is going to notice and give you a step up.
