Help! I went to sign in to my Hotmail account and I got a message that it was blocked because it was sending out spam emails. Then it asked from my mobile phone number to send me a code. I did that but no code sent. I tried other methods to unblock my hotmail via web research but each method requires me to sign in to MSN which is blocked to me.
Phone support is not available to me since I don't have a paid account. Okay, so how do I regain access to my blocked hotmail account without having to sign in since it won't permit me to do so?
It looks you might be screwed then because I looked all over the help center and they want you to try their solutions first before they’ll give you any contact information. But it looks like that no matter what you do they’re going to ask you to sign in first. Dummies!!
I am now convinced that providing incredibly CRAPPY support is a marketing ploy on the part of hotmail. See, they really want you to sign onto their PAID service so they treat users of the Free service like dirt. I also see a similar marketing ploy by airlines. When I was a kid the airlines treated EVERYBODY like royalty. In fact one time we even flew first class and I didn’t notice much difference from coach except that we sat closer to the front of the plane and got to talk to the pilot. Nowadays, airline personnel treat coach passengers like DIRT. Why? Because it gives them an incentive to fly First Class. So now Hotmail is crapping over its Free users because they want people to PAY for their service. If not, you get treated like dirt.
Lately, Bill Gates, has been playing at being some sort of humanitarian? HEY BILL!!! You want to help make the world a better place? Then start with your CRAPPY Hotmail service which first blocks people from access to their hotmail accounts and then makes it almost impossible to ever access it again.
I find Bill Gates, I am sure going to tell him what I think of Hotmail. Want to be a HUMANITARIAN, Bill? Then start with FIXING your own hotmail service!

But it’s also true that if you do subscribe, you are now identified to them through your payment information. This automatically puts you in a better position if something does go wrong. You also have the leverage of being able to quit if not satisfied with the service.
A free account is worth every penny you paid for it.
I only had one email addressee on Hotmail that I really needed to contact and I finally was able to contact her via other means so no great loss now if hotmail is gone for good. Will try to access it tomorrow via another computer.
Did I say I wasn't a techie? I think you can trust me on that :-)
Oh man that pic is screaming for tons of photoshop editing!!!! LOL!! pron, birth certs, etc... on the screen.
Yesterday morning I got a weird screen when trying a couple of times, then on third or fourth try I was able to get in.
I have yahoo.com and mail.com accounts that get little use. Partly because of the problems you encountered, I am weaning off of hotmail. They are not customer-friendly. Was going to use Gmail and created an account, but I'm not crazy about the interface.
Yahoo is in the process of upgrading their email, so I've upgraded and will use the beta. The interface seems good.
This website has an 800 number that reaches MSN support. Since Hotmail is part of MSN (kind of), maybe it can help if you have not resolved yet. 800-386-5550.
Nope. I am planning to do what I should have done long ago...switching to G-Mail. Hotmail wasn't that important to me since my main place for mail is at Comcast. Actually I had only one important message I had to access at Hotmail and I contacted the person via other means.
So the Hotmail was not your primary..that’s good. They act like customers are a nuisance.

Don’t do it- don’t paqy for their CRAP service- even paid subscribers are bein g blocked out of their email and not gettign their issues resolved
