The Threat Just Inside Our Door

National Security: The Defense Department warns that the cartels making Mexico a war zone are operating easily here too. And a secret U.S. report leaked in Mexico warns of even worse. So why isn't anyone talking about it?

To hear Janet Napolitano tell it, as she did March 25 at El Paso's Bridge of the Americas, security at the U.S.-Mexican border "is better now than it ever has been." The secretary of homeland security has since denounced those warning of Mexico's war spilling into the U.S. as "simply inaccurate" and dismissed warnings from state leaders from Texas to California as nothing but bids to score "political points."

But it's Napolitano who's playing politics, as evidenced by statements she's made that stand in contrast to what the rest of the government says and knows.

The cartels are here and Janet's telling us all's hunky dory. Maybe she wants them here then.

Ain't the war on some drugs grand?

It supplies the drug cartels with all the money they could hope for.

And just like cockroaches, no matter how fast you kill them, new ones take their place.

A whole lotta sruff is being unattended; and that’s the Alinsky way—keep the sheeple off guard, overwhelmed, avoiding non-pc, fearful, uneasy, perplexed...

It’s working...

She doesn’t want to or can’t do her job. Corrupt or incompetent. Probably both. But she doesn’t want us to know that. So she lies.

Pretty standard really.

Politics? Who has failed to build a border fence, enforce immigration laws or get serious about U.S. aid to help Mexico clean itself up and fight the drug war? Doing nothing, which is the Obama administration's way of pleasing the open-borders lobby, is directly responsible for the new menace of the cartels inside our border.

Oh, I don't know. I think Obama is just following in the footsteps of the previous administration that made open borders a national policy.

Bush felt that national security meant invading Afghanistan and Iraq while leaving the borders wide open and hobbling border and interior immigration enforcement.

Unfortunately, many around these parts chose to look the other way rather than hold Bush accountable.

These same folks are now bleating about Obama, even though he is doing the exact same nothing as his predecessor.

At the very best this administration, and its members, are indifferent to the alien invasion, the influx of drugs and the drug cartels. More realistically this administration, and its members, actively encourage the influx of illegal aliens, drugs and cartel monies. The alien is registered to vote Democrat within hours of arrival, cartels pay drug money to help finance American political campaigns and of course they pay into the politicians off shore accounts. As an additional motive this administration, and its members, by in large hate the United States, those that founded her and those that ran her affairs up to and including Bush.

yah...the Pacifist Northwest and the entire I-5 corridor from Tijuana to the Canadian border (and beyond) is awash in cheap Mexican black tar heroin, and you dare not go hunting any more without risking stumbling onto someone's heavily defended marijuana grow operation out in the National forests.

And what do we get??

And no, I do not think that's particularly humorous....

And what do we get??

The government we deserve.

Bush started both the TSA and DHS.

If you voted for him, then you have no one to blame but yourself.

Bush loved America? To coin a phrase, don't can't piss down our backs, then tell us it's raining.

Bush did more to actively encourage illegal aliens and drug cartels any President before or after.

He started by signing the Partnership for Prosperity and New Alliance Task Force. If you don't know what these are, then you can educate yourself by visiting my FR home page.

He changed the banking laws to allow US banks to accept the Mexican Matricula Consular card as valid ID for illegal aliens to open US bank accounts and obtain credit cards, auto, home and business loans. Prior to Bush, this was forbidden by US banking laws and regulations.

He and is Republipuke cronies in Congress gave Mexican illegal aliens the downpayment for the houses that were sold under sub-prime loans.

He change the federal regulations so that banks who served the illegal alien market were able to claim CRA credit.

He hobbled border and interior immigration enforcement so that the customers of his banker buddies would not be deported.

Worksite arrests of illegal aliens fell some 97 percent, from 2,859 in 1999 to 159 in 2004. Investigations targeting employers of illegal immigrants fell more than 70 percent, from 7,637 in 1997 to 2,194 in 2003. Arrests on job sites fell—precipitously, from 17,554 in 1997 to 445 in 2003. Fines levied for immigration-law violations fell from 778 in 1997 to 124 in 2003. Notices of intent to fine employers fell from 865 in 1997 to just 3 in 2004.

These actions led directly to the current economic meltdown we're currently enjoying.

Lastly, he signed the Social Security Totalization Agreement with Mexico that would have allowed Mexican illegal aliens to sign up for and receive US Social Security benefits for the time they worked here illegally.

Luckily, word of this got out before he had a chance to submit it to Congress for approval, so it never took effect, but it's still there waiting for conservatives to go back to sleep so that it can be implemented.

Like I say, if you want the gory details of your he-ro Bush's anti-American, pro-Mexican actions while he was in office, visit my FR home page.

But, do not make the mistake of saying that Bush loved America. He does not, and never did love America or Americans and his actions while in office prove it.
