We see now where some are reporting that Fox news has "scrubbed" their website of the O'Riley, Obama Conn. SSN discussion.
Glenn Beck came out and pleaded with conservatives to "knock it off"...
Plenty of elected Repubs are still coming out saying Osama was born a little Hawaiian boy king...
So I want to ask the masses here,
Is the conservative media, talking heads and political elite trying to stifle the story because, they believe that it’s a losing political argument and will guarantee Obama four more years?
Or is the conservative media, talking heads and political elite trying to stifle the story because they now know he's a fraud.
It happened because they honestly thought McCain could beat him and prior to the stock market crash in Sept 08 he could have. No one wanted to bring the issue because it would have given the media all the ammo they needed to label us racist, cover for Obama, possibly paving the way for him to win.
But thru a confluence of events at the last minute he won. So now the political elite on both sides of the isle know if the truth comes out that the President was not Constitutionally eligible to run for his office, it would cause unimaginable long-term devastation to the country both foreign as well as domestically.
Could/would possibly spark wide spread civil unrest, violence and another civil war. Because it would appear to the ill informed and uneducated that the white man was using dirty tricks to remove the first black president?
That's exactly how the media would spin it to save face. because they failed to vet him properly them tell the American people what they found.
I can only image the nightmare that would come once it was known that Obama was not constitutionally eligible to hold the office.
First would be a legal battle the likes of which this planet has never seen.
All the legislation and all its tentacles that stretch from DC to smallville USA. Treaties and executive orders that he signed. Every single decision, regulation or legal opinion made by every single person he ever hired or appointed to every gov agency.
All the judges he's appointed and all the cases they have presided over and ruled on. And all the cases where those cases were cited as controlling case law to gain ruling in other cases.
The US Supreme Court appointments, military and intelligence actions we've engaged in, both overt and covert.
The list is believably endless and the ramifications are unimaginable.
Could what is happening be an attempt by those in the know just to save the Republic?
This is really starting to make sense to me. What else could they threaten the likes of Rush, Fox News, etc...with to get them to ignore the issue? Same reason the Supreme Court won't touch it. You will be responsible for the riots and the deaths.
So the plan is just to let him run amuck because we don't want riots? Screw that!

What scum. This country is supposed to be run by the people, for the people. Not by the royalty for the royalty. We can handle it. G-d made all of us, not just the elites in DC. Plenty of us have dealt with worse than a lousy Commie usurper as President. We have lost children; we have lost loved ones; we have been hit with illness and injury; we have lost jobs, homes, and health. We can FORGETTING* handle it if our President needs to be removed.
Personally, I don’t think that’s it. I think that the libs are covering for him because they wanted his “change” so badly, the GOP are afraid to stand for ANYTHING with meaining, and the conservative media has been threatened with livelihoods and worse. Maybe Soros has one of Beck’s kids and one of Rush’s cats in his basement.

If anyone can point to any evidence that the Birther Initiative is hurting the GOP’s chances in 2102 please point them out. I have seen none. Just the spoutings from Rove, Coulter, Beck, O’Reilly and company trying to convince me that it’s true.

When McLame was the candidate, he called the shots. He does not care about citizenship - he is an open border globalist. He beleives that anyone against open borders is a Nationalist; a racist. He has accused people in his own state, who have been seriously abused by open borders as being racist for objecting (until the last election).
The idea of questioning Obama about his citizenship, infuriated McThing. The “racists” in the party were threatening to have a voice in McIdiot’s election. So his reactive insanity came about and he demanded, in great indignant fury, that the GOP supress the questions about bammy’s foreign origin. Being that he was the leader at the time and given Rinos (GOP) are severly affected by race baiting, everyone went on a campaign led by McInsane to shut down questions during the election. In addition, there are questions about McLame’s qualification given he was born overseas and he wants the whole subject of constitutional qualification gone!
Now a fraud has been committed by both parties. Everyone knows they have a Kenyan in office. They are concerned about keeping all their asses out from under the umbrella of treason.
That is what this is about.
None of them want to be the Alinsky Target. So not only do none of the mice want to bell the cat, and they all want to be on record that they had nothing to do with the idea of belling the cat.

Please, without flaming, exactly how do you think that's going to happen?? By what mechanism is the birther argument going to result in him getting unseated?
You've already said the Supreme Court won't touch it, and I agree. So if the courts won't do it, that means to remove him legally, you'd need impeachment. That means a majority of the House and 2/3 of the Senate. But that's not going to happen either.
So the only other way to get unseat him is to vote him out in the next election. I want the socialist creep out as much as anyone else, but I simply do not see how this particular argument is going to convince otherwise undecided people to vote for someone else next November. It's an argument that seems to appeal almost exclusively to people who already dislike the guy. Seriously, can you imagine someone thinking "you know, I like what he's done and think he'd be better than the Republican, but I just can't get passed the birth issue."
I'm sorry, but I don't know anyone like that.

Not at all. There would be senate hearings on television, and the media would be apoplectic for about a week. Then, rather than sending zerO to prison for identity theft, he'd resign and while all this was going on, the American People would still be getting up, going to work, and watching reruns of American Idol.

Right again. Just yesterday Nancy Pelousy was pontificating about the fact that there wasn’t much of a difference between Dems and Repubs and then the Tea Party messed it up. She actually went on to say “elections shouldn’t matter” (WHAT?????). I guess the political elite just got a little too used to the cushy life we paid for while they worked against stupid old us. No more!
In communist countries there is only one party and I am not pulling punches anymore - the DNC is communist. With the Rinos and the DNC, things were looking very communist and peaceful. Minor disagreements on how to arrive at the same point.
Then the tea party came along and wrecked the bi-partisan thing Rinos had going on with Nazi Pelosi.
