How hard can it be for restaurants to have items like fruit juices and milk located at the regular soda fountain/drink station, in additon to the bar area, so that wait-staff can prepare and serve childrens’ beverages without having to place a bar order?

I wonder why the parents didn’t notice. Sangria and OJ are not the same color.

Why doesn’t anybody ever give ME a margarita when I order a soft drink?

They should just be glad they didn’t feed pork to a muslim by mistake, because then instead of apologizing they’d probably be picking up pieces of the waiter.

Glad the toddler wasn’t hurt. Doesn’t seem like anything malicious, just a one and a million human error. Since there were no lasting injuries, I am categorizing this one as “Sh*t Happens”.

Sangria in a sippy cup here ping.
So Applebee's serves Margarita mix in a sippy cup while Olive Garden serves Sangria in the same container.

I had a fiesty 80 year old woman from Louisiana as a customer one day. She told me a story of when she moved here (Dallas) from Louisiana many years ago, she went to a restaurant with her husband and kids. She ordered a bottle of wine from the waiter and he asked "and for the kids?" and she said "glasses!"
She was the coolest most honest woman I have ever met. We need more like her.
