Our Greatest Guitar Solo Of All Time poll certainly caused some fierce debate amongst guitarists
and that was just in our office. Choosing the 'greatest' guitar solo is obviously subjective in the extreme. But Guitarist had other motivations too we were eager to see how many modern solos have impressed you all in the thirteen years since our last solo poll. The results were suprising. After asking for your nominations, we took the 20 most popular and asked for you vote on which your though was most deserving here and at MusicRadar. You voted in your thousands, fanbases were motivated and old favourites suffered.
Yup. Got a question for the big guy along simmilar lines myself ;)
Gilmore and Waters will be playing a few dates together on the European part of the Wall tour. I am not sure where. But that would be one to see. Although they hate one another, to hear them together would be amazing.
Very good song also..
Thanks for that info. That is great...

I love the nerd, he rocks. Actually bought one of his songs. Love his cross hand style of playing the keyboard.
Always been a Priest fan. That song is definitely one of their best, though I like their take on Green Manilisha more. Halford, regardless of his personal life, is THE metal vocalist. Period. Followed VERY closely by
The BRUCE!...Talk Iron Maiden and that band pretty much ends the thread ;) Solos, rhythm, bass, drums, vocals. Total package.
To add another incredible guitarist to the mix, Devin Townsend DTP, DT Band or Strapping Young Lad. A monster guitarist, vocalist and songwriter.
IIRC, One of these days I’m going to cut you into little pieces.
You forgot the motor city madman. TEDDY!
-Anything- by Robin Trower.
Pat Travers, ‘Crash And Burn’, ‘Stevie’.
Really? Wow... That song sucked. Speaking of Poison you listen to some of the songs, Every rose has a thorn and Mother by Pink Floyd and the beginning sound awfully alike..
It is kind of sad. He never got over his dad’s death. How could you? He has no voice anymore. Solo stuff does suck.
You could see his joy and regret at Live 8. He missed the band. Sad.
PF post Rog had a few good songs. High Hopes which supposedly polly wrote the lyrics for. The song is all about them growing up in Oxford and growing older and regrets.

Not as bad as “Nothing But A Good Time” by Poison. I was 25 then and knew rock was dying...quickly.
Post 105 Craftmore said it is:
One of these days,,im going to cut you into little pieces,,,
High hopes is one of the best most talented songs of the Post Waters Pink Floyd. They were a great band. And now we are down to three.
Eric Clapton, playing Classical Gas (originally by Mason Williams).
Go hear it for yourself on youtube - a TRUE guitar solo, not a ‘riff’.

Wow.. I thought the Beatles thought they were god. Sounds Like Ole Roger has a bit of an Obama er I mean god complex.
Doesn't Blues count?
