I suppose you could sneak over and write down the car’s VIN (if it’s where it should be on the dash) and run a CARFAX on it and see what the story is. You can’t bring a non-complying car into the US unless it’s for a car museum or it’s a race car, the EPA and Customs are really fanatical about that.

I checked the NADA used car site. They don’t have a listing for Chery as a manufacturer, ergo, this car is illegal.....
