I understand the general nuance of the birther argument. And I see there's more than one prevailing theory.
While I still have a hard time believing Osama was born in Kenya. I am warming to the idea he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro, became an Indonesian citizen and most likely obtained an Indonesian passport which allowed his travels to Pakistan and beyond. As well as possibly entering college in the US as a foreign student. And I'm sure there was a Muslim thing going on too... much proof of that is already out there and not in dispute.
He applied and was awarded foreign student aid, student aid from his home country (Indonesia) at the time, etc... maybe he claimed a Kenyan birth, British Father/Subject to obtain student aid that way... very plausible and would certainly explain his reluctance to release his college paperwork.
And all of that could be done with a Hawaiian birth and a sealed B/C due to the adoption, Hawaiian laws and subsequent re-issuance of the B/C.
Anyway, lets focus on Trump.
Is he throwing the hail mary pass of the century with this claim?
Does he have something he's not yet releasing or talking specifically about?
Strategic planning at work here, the mother of all October surprises?
Possibly telegraphing to Osama, that I found your dirty little secret, I have it and your day is coming?
Blackmail?
Or is he just such a massive ego maniac, that he's let it go so far to his head he's lost touch with reality, has nothing and somehow thinks all of this is an extension of his reality show?
If Trump has nothing, produces nothing, ends up blowing all this media hype he's churned into a boil... that window comes and goes the media will eviscerate him, intentionally, for no other reason than to seek revenge upon him, discredit him even further and remind others not to mess with them, the media.
What does he gain, he needs to be take seriously in certain circles to at least keep his TV shows going, and money flowing into his pockets... that's Hollywood, the media, etc... why risk the only thing he has left over a Geraldo-esq Al Capone's Vault stunt?
It don't make any sense... none of it does honestly...
Now... for almost three years piles and piles of investigators from political campaigns, parties, WND, PI's hired by attorneys suing for records, and I'm sure some groups we've yet to even hear about...etc, etc... why do we think that Trump will find what they couldn't?
Now, If any of you don't think for a minute that the DNC hasn't been looking as well your a fool. While they publicly ridicule and scoff at the idea I am 110% positive they too have been digging... just in case it all turns out to be true.
No one seriously doubts that the media failed to vet this guy, but I find it hard to believe that in some room, somewhere, some serious top level journalist, editor or party elder has done a quality investigation just to make sure its not true.
To risk the destruction of the DNC... I would image that even the liberals in the media wouldn't want that. And throwing one guy under the bus to save the party is not out of the question for libs and the media, its happened before.
What would make Osama any different, why risk the literal destruction of the political party they worship for this one guy, who's frankly not even a very good liberal, by liberal standards... even his healthcare nightmare isn't what 90% of those who voted for him wanted, they were after full on cradle to grave commie care. Which while it is a disaster, its not full bore socialized medicine. And it looks as if the Repubs can defund it if they wanted to, so again what's he gotten the DNC and the MSM, why would they risk it all for one lackluster center-center-left-liberal?
There liberals yes, their ideologically driven yes, but I find it hard to believe that not one serious journalist guy or gal employed by the likes of the NY Times can't see or think far enough ahead to realize that no matter how absurd they think it might be. That if true it would destroy the entire DNC, their Saint Osama and create a Constitutional Crisis in this country that could possibly tear it apart.
I don't buy it... even dictators understand the idea of the endgame.
So I ask, what's the deal... why is Trump raising nine kinds of hell, what does he have?
Or is has he just lost it?
The last thing we need going into a presidential campaign is another loon-bat on the loose, running from TV camera to TV camera talking up issues. Taking away from our serious choice, if we even have one...
You know the media will eat that up and spend as much time and energy as humanly possible making sure he's on TV babbling on and on about God only knows what, while wearing a shower curtain with noodle strainer on his head.
We all better hope Trump has something.
If not and he drags this out until the middle of the campaign it will be a guaranteed 4 more years of Osama. And if Trump crashes and burns in too dramatic of a fashion he could impact House and Senate races. We could lose more seats in the Senate and lose the House.
Its not out of the realm of possibility.

Then this is a non-starter. Issa needs to get a set of cajones and go on the Sunday talks. And he shouldn’t debate whether Obama was born in the US. He should debate what the Constitution says and that because Obama’s father was not an American citizen at the time of Obama’s birth, Obama is not eligible to be President.
Then subpeona Pelosi to testify as to why she signed off on it knowing he wasn’t eligible.
That’s what the Rats would do. Let them tell America that the Constitution is irrelevant and let the chips fall where they may.
1. Complete lack of vetting by MSM or Cable during election cycle. No one did their own investigation. And none raised the jus sanguinis natural born Citizen problem. They were all cheer-leading or bashing.
We were not told of critical elements of Obama’s past. We were not told of the foreign father. We were not told of the foreign step father. We were not told of hidden college records that may show enrollment as a foreign student after the age of 18. We were not told he never lived with his supposed father as a family. We were not told he lived in Seattle Washington. We were not told his mother married another foreign national in 1965. In fact when we were told we were lied to. The media kept reporting the marriage happened in 1968 or 1969. We were not told he was registered as a Muslim at both Indonesia Schools. In fact, the media attempt to lie about that. We were not told he was mentored by a known Communist and child molester. We were not told he traveled to Pakistan, Indonesian and other Muslim countries extensively as a young adult. It was hidden until mid-2008. We were not told of Saudi-national Rezko’s real estate dealings with the Obama’s. We were not told that a Saudi prince wrote a letter that helped him get into Harvard. We were not told of his very deep relations with unindicted domestic terrorist Bill Ayers.
2.We never got an explanation as to the passport break-ins. There were three break-ins over 3 months. What the @#$#$ was going on? Never an answer.
3. Brian Schatz did not off on Obama eligibility in the legally required OCON. Why? Why? Why? When will someone question Brian Schatz on that.
4. Blackmail. You raised it. Here is the problem. What if a foreign country has the goods on Obama and could take him down personally at any time? He is deeply entangled with Saudis. The at least wrote a letter to get him into Harvard. Some speculate they paid for him to attend Harvard. He has had shady financial dealings with SAUDI NATIONAL - Rezko! The Saudis own this guy. What if they have everything on him that is not released. What if they paid for his schooling. What if the Israelis have the same material, China, Russia? No wonder this guy bows to every foreign leader - he never knows who has what on him. But the all probably have something. So without complete transparency how are we to be assured our leader is not being blackmailed by other nations? How? This is the ultimate reason transparency is needed. I know people who have gone through high level clearance at the agencies. When you go through they want to know the little things that you want to hide. The pot smoking, the affair, etc. Not that those disqualify you, but once you admit to them then they can not be used as leverage. We have a highly leveraged President right now. He has way, way to many personal secrets for the interest of national security. This President is risking the security of this nation by not disclosing his personal history in detail. He is a security risk - plain and simple.
That is one thing the National Enquirer is very good about is dirty politicians.
It has also hinted that there is something wrong with Obama’s presidency, not that anybody here might know what that could be.
The point is there is no reason to have put up a short form. He already has 2 if not 3 long forms in his possession.
He and everyone would know what a BC looks like. He applied for a passport 20 some odd years ago and had to submit a certified copy to obtain a passport.
He also had to submit one for college and for a job.
Yes you can use a passport for primary ID but most people submit their BC and a drivers license.
So he has a LF BC
No reason to submit some lameass document, particularly for a guy whose entire past is sealed and largely unknown but for the narrative he decided to tell us.

So the issue is almost moot unless one or more states tighten up their ballot eligibility requirements.
1. His grandmother in Kenya is on video saying how proud she was to have witnessed his birth in Mombassa, Kenya. She was quickly muzzled.
2. Trump is not going to lose anything. He just wants to know why Zero won’t release the BC if there is nothing to hide. Why would you spend two million smackaroos to prevent its release if there is nothing to hide. Trump is only asking what he’s hiding, not making specific allegations.
3. How do you know anyone has been hiring PI’s to investigate from our side? If there had been I am sure the left would be crowing about it. Hawaii won’t release anything. The COLB has been checked by forensic investigators, and proven to be a forgery. The lamestream media refuses to do their own examination, and won’t report on the findings that have come out. The lettering was pasted over the watermark, and the border was pasted together on the original that was released. On real COLB’s, the country of birth is listed for both parents. On his, only the mother’s is listed. There are a number of other problems.

4. How do you know that the Dems haven’t found out the truth? They seem to have circled the wagons with the media.
5. The destruction of Zero won’t hurt the rest of the party anymore than what he’s already done. He’s pretty well done what they wanted to do.
6. Why do you say he’s not a good liberal? The purpose of the HCB was not to put in single payer directly. It was to destroy the insurance industry, so we would have no choice but to go to single payer run by the gubmint.

People who haven't read 14th Amendment author John Bingham may not know that Bingham replaced "citizen" with "allegiance" in his formulation, but after almost three years of lies, they understand allegiance, and most of them understand parents.

Of course it is! But, still, I’m led to believe that whatever the crime, the only way the guy could possibly be removed from office is by impeachment.
