T. Boone Pickens cares about only one thing, fleecing whomever he can. His blatant move to garner taxpayer funds for his wind projects is proof enough for me. He didn’t care that it solved nothing about our energy needs, he just wanted the Govts moolah.

T. Boone moved away from Wind two years ago and moved on to NG. I tend to agree with him on NG and its ability to power our transportation needs. He just wants us to make his gas play pay off.

I was gonna say pretty much the same thing but it looks like you beat me to it. Pickens to me loses any credibility due to his support of wind. I listened to him and his pitch for wind power and he's completely wrong on the subject. Wind Power is about as dumb as it gets, but Pickens is still pushing it.
We really have two different components to our energy problem:
1. Stationary Power (for lack of a better word) which is power for our houses, business, and industry. This can be from a multitude of sources and electrical energy is a big part of this no matter how generated.
2. Mobile Power (again for lack of a better word) or portable. These are high energy density fuels for transportation, agriculture, shipping and the like. Wind and Solar do next to nothing for this type of power. No one I've seen is trying to educated the public over this. I've seen so many commercials start out talking about oil but seamlessly drift over into Wind and Solar. BS. Wind and solar are nearly useless as a means for providing power to oil drilling facilities offshore.

Is the taxpayers money or the governments that Pickens is after?
