“Youre missing the point....But he did blow a number of short makeable putts at crunch time, that as others have mentioned the old Tiger wouldnt have.”
No. I understand your point. It is wrong.
Tiger Woods has NEVER won a major in which he was behind on Sunday. Look it up. So, how is this important to a comparison to the “OLD TIGER?”
And, once again, I have NEVER heard of anyone being criticized for missing an EAGLE putt of any length. In your effort to be right, you have not been paying attention to my point, my posts, or simple logical conclusions based on the man and his carreer.
You're going way overboard about semantics dude. First off pro golfers get criticized for missing short makeable putts in the clutch all the time, regardless of how many shots it took them to get that close. Ask Phil Mickelson he heard it for years. In fact they are their own harshest critics in those situations. You think Tiger is home tonight saying "well its ok I missed that short putt on 15 it was for eagle not birdie or par"?
But hey if you have never heard a missed eagle putt by a pro criticized, bully for you! Point is this article writer fawned over Tiger and in doing so insulted the guys who clearly played and putted better down the stretch. That's all
