Congratulations House Speaker John Boehner

Congratulations House Speaker John Boehner, thank you and my respect for you has grown so much in this one night. You did the stand up job, you are the man and I am willing to say so and take the jibes from those who say it isn’t so. I say Thanks again, this is the first step, may be a small step but it was also a big step in mind set and in showing the power of the Republican leadership. When I say my respect for you has jumped in no small way, I really mean it for what it’s worth coming from just another Republican in the Middle Class. For some, they are going to say that someone blinked, that it wasn’t 60 billion, but those who know the score also know that this was a huge victory for Republicans, yes the Tea Party, and the first strike in the battle front that is yet to come and the win was ours. In regards to abortion, it’s already in the wording that tax payer money should not go to pay for that – as the battle moves forward the day of reckoning is coming for the abortionists who take our tax money as well, this is the first step in a bigger battle to come. God bless and continue the great job.

It’s not 78.4B..........Boehner is playing games with the numbers. It’s 78.4B from what Obama originally proposed last year for this fiscal year. It’s only a 38B cut from what was spent last year.

Thanks for the explanation. I've seen Dems bandy that $70b number about, even a Dem said that since Obama agreed to $70b and GOP wanted $60b, Obama wanted more cuts!! ... Only in Dem-world is a spending level less than some fantastic increase that you never enacted a 'cut'.

The GOP side has been using the $40 b number, and that is more like the real cut number, since its a real cut from the levels of last year.

Hardly... we got to get the socialist to praise an agreement on a:

” budget that invests in our future while making the largest annual spending cut in our history.”

I will quibble with ‘largest annual spending cut in our history... but even if close to true, was a SLOOOWLY turning the ship around.

Not a victory for O.

I think a shutdown would have hurt us.

“Huckabee and Bachmann have shown themselves as no friends of TEA Party conservatives.”

Uh, Bachmann was interviewed on Bret afterward and was not only critical of the “deal”, but she said it was not keeping promises to the people, and she would be voting NO next week.

______________-
Yes and she was on earlier saying that we should make a deal and pushing the deal and that this wasn’t the fight to go to the mat for. Her “NO” vote is based on a promise to vote no on any CR that didn’t include defunding Obamacare, So she was for the deal but has to vote against it because she boxed herself in. Today she sounded like Romney waffling.

John's very brief statement to the Press left me troubled...

It seemed he was frightened or maybe he just needed desperately to have a smoke..

He thanked NO one for their support and Harry went overboard and we all know Hussein has ‘speech writers’ so that took awhile before he made a public statement, but John was just too brief and left us ‘uninformed’ to what he though....

You have to remember they already had 6 continuing resolutions that cut over 12 billion already. That comes in at around 52 Billion over all. from previous spending levels.

Boehner did as well as can be expected. I am still no fan. He and the Republicans in general are much too diplomatic. ‘Scumbag’ is about as close to civil as I could muster whenever commenting about Reid Or Obama. Than again I am not a politician.

There was a spending increase, no cuts. The cuts were in the amounts proposed. We haven’t begun to turn the ship around. We haven’t even started patching the hole in the hull.

As do I. I am glad we were able to win a pretty big victory without a shutdown.

“2) Defund obamacare
3) end the EPA regs”

Obama via Reid won’t allow the first one, and he intends to enforce EPA regs directly through his head of EPA since he knows cap and tax would never pass Congress. Can they get EPA’s funding cut? Don’t know. Doubt we can get the Senate votes to defund obamacare, so the best bet will be to continue having the courts declare it un-Constitutional, even unto the SCOTUS. The mandate should make it a definite, I’d think.

Looks like the beginning of much in-fighting among the Repubs - something the Dems and LSM will eat up and cover incessantly.

Ronald Reagan would NOT approve of that.

The Speaker of the House is running around declaring “This is the best we can do.” That’s just weak and pathetic.

“Well - BO is taking credit for it”

Lamely - quite obviously reading the teleprompter, saying how wonderful it will be that next week the grade schoolers can visit the Washington Monument.

‘they can remind voters that John Boehner also voted in favor of continued funding on April 8, 2011.’

There was a stand alone vote on just Planned Parenthood funding on Friday? When did that happen? I was under the impression that there was a vote on a continuing resolution without a word about Planned Parenthood.

Yeah, those that managed to survive Planned Barrenhood's and the DemonRat's abortion mills...

Obama's superabundance of lefturd hypocrisy never ceases to amaze me.

Cheers

‘When was the last time the DEMs kept a promise to Republicans?’

Deals about allowing a vote are NEVER violated.

What would you do to pass a bill that requires Senate approval and Obana’s signature, Einstein?

Horse manure.

NPR defunding
EPA riders
Planned Parenthood abortion mills defunding
Obamacare defunding

Did the Republicans win ANYTHING?

No. The cowards caved on everything. I am done with Boner and the rest of the em-effers.
They brushed me off like dandruff, and I am brushing them off like dandruff.

Have fun with your new circle-jerk buddies, Brian.

Uh... The Republicans have the majority in the House. All spending bills start there.

So why was this horses ass Boner calling up every Democrat who would listen trying to lower the deal?

So, you’re happy that we cut less then 2% from the yearly deficit?

That our national debt will rise by 1.76 trillion rather than 1.8 trillion?

That, even though our revenues are 1.8 trillion, we’ll be spending only 3.56 trillion, rather than 3.6 trillion?

You are no conservative....an we are bankrupt.
