At that time, the FBI most likely used manual Royal or Underwood typewriters (or something similar). Their type is distinctive and easily identifiable by those familiar with this kind of forensic analysis.
I’m 99.9999% sure it is authentic. It’s being released on the FBI website. As mentioned above, the author has Google hits and is known to have worked for the FBI as SAC in Washington State, as well as being mentioned in other memos being released.
Personally, I think the gist of it is that some special investigator in the Air Force told a special agent that they had recovered discs.
Seems pretty Solid to me. In the interest of full disclosure, I will admit I have always believed UFO’s were real, and were extra-terrestrial in origin.
But I have never seen any hard-core proof. I think this is dam close.
Now there are people on the other side of the picture who would not believe in aliens if an alien raped their goat and they had vids of the encounter... something about the human mind, where if a possible fact doesn’t fit someones philosophy, they will believe in anything and everything else to avoid admitting it is true.
I’m not dinging anybody with that statement, it’s just the way it is.
