I am contemplating this article...
Who am I? Why am I here?

Absolutely, they have spiritual experiences. Ever see a dog looking at a piece of cheese?

If you go by dog expressiona, being scratched behind the ears can induce a spiritual experience

Touching B&W. Thanks cc.
This is a good one! This one was written by Earl Hamner, Jr. , the creator of 'The Waltons' - 1962.

When a dog thinks about us, he thinks, “This creature brings me food and water, and provides me with shelter. He must be God.”
When a cat thinks about us, he thinks, “This creature brings me food and water, and provides me with shelter. I must be God.”

gg Can you please watch this video? Can a raccoon really drown a dog? I’ve never heard of that.

And difficult to prove: animals have spiritual experiences, which he defines as experiences that are nonmaterial, intangible, introspective and comparable to what humans have.

I’ve never seen it happen but I’ve heard plenty of times that a coon can drown a dog. I have seen them wrap themselves around the head of a dog and drag it to the ground.

My dog achieves a state of zen-like bliss when I feed her braised chicken livers. She shares the cheese spiritual experience. Also elevating: tiny pieces of sauteed sirloin.
