A flock of ten flamingoes have met a brutal end at a zoo in Eskilstuna in eastern Sweden after a curious anteater broke into their compound and clawed them to death, leaving a further five birds nursing injuries.

W00t!
Yep.
I planted more bean seeds this morning, in various locations where maybe Shannon won’t dig them all up. Twerpy cat.
Sprinkle some tobacco from a cigarette where you plant things you don’t want returned from the dead. Cats don’t like tobacco. Or mint.
Our late Agnes loved tobacco. Back when we occasionally had people smoke in the apartment, she would sneak the butts from the ashtray, or even cigarettes out of the pack, and hide them under the sofa.
And she was a calico, just like Shannon, so it seems like that could be bad luck! I hope I’ve outflanked her by planting the seeds in various places that she wasn’t already digging up, so maybe she won’t notice, especially if it rains like the forecast says. Tom is out doing the lawn finally. He had a hard time getting up today.
Agnes was different!
I had a hard time waking up, as well. It got cold last night, (54 when I woke up) but I was all snuggly in my flannel sheets and heated mattress pad.
The sky was overcast when I woke up, also, which means the light didn’t bother me. *sigh*
My niece gave me a Slumber Party Sweet Dreams bag yesterday, with a sleep mask, a gel eye mask, some body lotion and some pillow spray...lavender and valerian. Smells GOOD!
That was a very thoughtful gift. I’m glad you have family there being nice to you!
Sionnsar selected it. I think it’s perfect: I laugh every time I see “frenzied anteater attack” at the top of the page. It’s like an antidepressant!
Even more thoughtful because it was so unexpected.
I was happy just having them here, so I could get fluffies from Mady.
*embarrassed*
I haven’t written the whole thing yet, but part of it was that he battled a stale tuna melt.
Are you asking how to keep little girls busy?
Have a tea party, draw pictures, read a book, do their hair, or let them do yours, play with dolls, etc.
See, I haven’t had any little ones around me for longer than I care to admit, so I have absolutely NOTHING here to occupy a little girl. I would have to buy most of the entertainment, probably from a thrift store. Not as easy to get to, now that I’m walking.
*sigh*
But thanks for the input. I appreciate all the help I can get.
Got a deck of cards? Make a house.
Paper machet.....flour, water, and newspaper over a can or a toilet paper roll?
Paint it with food colouring, or nail polish?
Pot and pans? Pretend cooking?
Rousing tales of adventure!
[I asked my sis to help expand the adventures of Ingbar Blurgerwhelp of Graknia as Graknia is her creation. She smirked and chuckled at me.]
It’s fun being a little girl.
Howdy, snow is almost gone!!!!
One of the nice things about the trip now over is that I got two more Air France eyemasks (free). Other airlines give out ones with plastic -- they don't breathe but trap perspiration, making me uncomfortable. The AF eyemasks are fabric and breathe. Much superior, and now I have three.
Gel?
LOL, you're welcome.
There are 735 prerequisites for The End; several of them repeated more than once. As of 00:00:00Z 20110512, only 596 of them had already come to pass.
We’re looking good for awhile, although the sidebar notation about exponential escalation in frequency should not be ignored.
