That actress was horrible. That whole scene had a ‘not ready for prime time’ feel to it. I love the story, but callin’ it like it is.
Cool - it’s playing in Boston at the theater I usually go to (although less and less often).
Sorry it’s not showing near you. Thanks for the link. I’m about 10 minutess from the Ritz Theater in Voorhees NJ.
Yes. To the movie which I’m very much looking forward to, the book and Ayn Rand herself, who despite her atheism, backs Israel on sheer principle.
I’m expecting sell-out crowds here the the D/FW area.
Good scene, and that is strinkingly similar to how I had always pictured Dagny in my mind’s eye.
I’ll reserve judgment though, because I’m not convinced that Hollywood is not, in the end, going to completely F up the essential message of Rand.
Since my reply #9, TWO local theaters here on the Space Coast will be showing AS! YEAH!
I didn’t think it gender specific at all. We just walked out of the theater about an hour and a half ago. I’ve never read the book, but can’t wait to see the next two installments. The beginning was a bit slow, and a little stilted, I thought, and I had read that about it so I was prepared.
