Two reasons.

1. Trump is well-known and well-liked by most Americans on either side of the political spectrum. His positions are well known by most people and therefore much more difficult to have his positions defined for him. Whereas, Sarah Palin allowed herself to be defined by the media, because she wasn’t skilled enough to define herself.

2. The media had to protect Obama during the first term, so he could push his agenda through before America got to know him. Now that Americans know him and find him wanting, he’s now considered disposable. They will not protect him to get him elected for a second term.

#1 is bull....with Sarah! She was defined within 1 day of her being announced as Vice President candidate - banning books, charging rape kits for rape victims, belief in Earth is 6,000 years....etc...all lies because they feared her. The inept McCain camp said “don’t worry about it”

#2 The MSM will always be ‘in the tank’ for liberal agenda, they are not going to abandon Obama, they haven’t yet

Sarah Palin allowed herself to be defined by the media, because she wasn’t skilled enough to define herself.

What a complete load of horse manure.

The MSM hasn't defined Palin to anyone except the drooling Obot zombies, who've been pre-programmed from childhood to hate any Republican who would dare to challenge any Democrat presidential candidate - and most especially their new messiah.

And, in case you hadn't noticed, Sarah Palin has penned two books since the end of the 2008 campaign, and has stayed up front and center in the public eye, with appearances on Fox, public speaking engagements, editorials, tweets, her Facebook page, and LOTS of networking and endorsements in the 2010 midterm elections.

Don't tell me that she's not skilled enough to define herself.

Palin's popularity hasn't suffered one whit amongst center-right Americans who make up the ranks of the Tea Party. There isn't a national political figure on this side of the aisle who is more popular and admired than she is.

I’ve been thinking about this.

1. Maybe, just Maybe, Trump is doing something the libs want done. Trump is friends with the Clintons. He is NOT a conservative. He’s just a down to earth businessman.

Hillary is waiting to make her movie. She needs someone else to “break the ice” - someone credible (remember, as far as the MSM is concerned conservatives are not credible) to really start raising doubt. The Dem party was split in two over Obama. The Kennedys came out and threw their weight behind him, and for the first time the MSM went after the Clintons. This may be part of that.

2. Trump has real money and is involved in many businesses, including media. Reople really don’t want to piss him off. They just may pay for it.

3. There is some pure entertainment value. Pass the popcorn. Obama is now damaged goods. They aren’t so wedded to his survival that they’ll miss a good show.

4. And the biggie... MAYBE, just maybe, some Dems are starting to find out this smoke has a fire behind it. Up until now they’ve been making fun. But just say, for a moment, its starting to leak out - there REALLY IS no BC, and there ARE real problems with BO’s past. There may be hell to pay.

I wonder how many higher up dems are thinking, “OMG, I never dreamed this could be true - Could he REALLY have been born in Kenya - I better CYA...”

“Birth certificate” has been in the top five google searches the past few days. It’s number three right now. Trump is making waves.
