I appreciate this posting every week and am wondering if you are aware that these programs are also available at
archive.org at any time? It does harken back to earlier times to get them in a batch, but for those that can’t listen to these in one sitting, they are always available at the above address.
To: Carl from Marietta
Hi, didn't know of that website, thanks. I visit the others like otr.com and such to catch a program when time allows and just purchased the entire lineup of a few programs. It's fun to see what Ed will pick out.
Would you like on the ping list? Am hoping the Scout turns out to be good as Ed's theme shows sometimes leave me wanting more.

Thanx again, Vision
! I think we're celebrating the National Pastime tonight.
March 27, 2011
- 7:00 p.m. Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar
8/9/59 "The Lost By a Hair Matter" Matter #651 Bob Bailey, Virginia Gregg (Grace Tilford), Helen Kleeb (Mrs. Haskell), Shirley Mitchell (Nancy Willis), Ben Wright, Sam Edwards (Michael Tilford), Harry Bartell, Lawrence Dobkin ; Writer/Producer/Director - Jack Johnstone ; Announcer - Jim Mathews ; Expense Account Total = $162.70 ; Mystery, suspense, and - yeah - murder, take Dollar to Minerva Park, near Columbus, Ohio. Fred Starkey of World Wide Mutual Insurance Company Columbus, calls Johnny for the case of wealthy widow Mrs. George Hemingway (Grace) Tilford, in her mid-60s, frail and with a heart condition, whose lumberyard has burned down. It was underinsured at $330,000. She is a big fan of Dollar's radio program which she listens to every Sunday over station WBNS and she had asked for him to come out and investigate. She knows who the culprit is and has three suspects in her living room for Johnny to question. The first suspect is middle aged Harry W. Shelder, her husband's business manager. The second is adopted son Michael Tilford. The third is her niece Nancy Willis, who Grace has been taking care of every since her parents died -out of duty, not out of love. She goes upstairs to freshen up and is found dead in her bedroom near a professional hair dryer by the old maid, Mrs. Haskell. Dr. Taylor says it was her heart. Dollar figures out that a loose wire touched Grace's wet head and electrocuted her, and determines that only Nancy was around when the dryer was purchased. Nancy pulls a gun, wounding Michael, but Dollar overwhelms her. (CBS)(18:22)

Mrs. Sarah Vesper, a lifelong friend of police detective Frank Smith, reports that several items in her home have been stolen, apparently by her new maid Margaret. It turns out that the name "Margaret" is as artificial as the references which the thief supplied to Mrs. Vesper and her other victims. When Smith and his partner Joe Friday catch up with the phony maid, she provides them with a most curious "excuse" for her misdeeds. In a sequence more bizarre than amusing, Friday tries to suppress his laughter as Mrs. Vesper recalls that Smith had been quite a poet in his younger days! (25:34)

Looks like a strong line up tonight. I’m liking Abbott & Costello in the clean-up slot of the order with “Who’s On First”. When I first heard that as a kid I was mesmerized.

If you’ve not heard the “Who’s on first” skip that Bud & Lou did on several occasions then I think you’re in for a treat. When I was a youngster it had my head spinning.

Evening, Vision.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. Fair to partly cloudy. Just banging through a springtime head cold and staying hunkered down with the wife and dogs this weekend (nasty springtime storms out there). You?

Thanks - I just took a hot shower that had to be one of the most enjoyable in my life. Now, I could only smell and taste dinner. I'm assuming you're still located in the Baltimore area?
