Now, I’m just pondering here, but this graph showing manufacturing of the US over the ROW being higher must include some kind of caveat.....could it be burgers and fries are considered ‘manufacturing’?

Pharma IP is being outsourced to China and India with great rapidity. Does your daughter speak fluent Mandarin? Does she look like a Han Chinese? Odds not great of her being hired in any great capacity in China if not. Most of the grad students in these fields are Chinese and other Asian. They’re taking their IP home with them.
Pharma companies are moving their R&D to China/HongKong asap.
Hope your daughter can find the capital to start her own business. Even then she’ll have to compete with foreign pharma that’s heavily subsidized by their governments and slave labor in the production facilities.
China has 5 times as many IQ 150+ people as we do. We’ll lose the ‘intellectual superiority’ game there too.
