Very perceptive. They just want to be comfortable in their sin. This is why they hate people who point it out or who fail to “celebrate” it.
Yes, it’s a sin issue, and while Democrats don’t hold the patent on sin, they are a lot more blatant about it.
There are particular sins like greed (class envy), theft (confiscatory taxation), murder (abortion), and perversion that they want made sacrosanct and they are panicked when anyone threatens the above.
The Republicans can get into any of the above as well; it’s just that they aren’t as overt. Our platform stands against all of the above.

i would disagree a tiny bit. it’s more than them wanting to be comfortable in their sin. that want their sin to be accepted as good and right and THE WAY things should be. they reject the real way things should be. they want it their way.
another way i say this is that they want to be God, in that they want to define what is good and what is evil. they reject what God has defined as good or evil...they want THEIR definition to be THE definition.
imho, that’s what the 2 trees were all about.
