What's in a name? Fat Ho Burgers opens

WACO, Texas, March 25 (UPI) -- A young Texas woman decided there is no such thing as bad publicity when she considered names for her Waco eatery and decided on Fat Ho Burger.
The restaurant opened Tuesday, and Lakisha Evans' plan seems to be working so far, KENS-TV in San Antonio reported. She has a straightforward business plan.
"My burgers, they're cheap. They don't go over 6 bucks because I thought, you know, I grew up in poverty," Evans said.
Evans, 23, grew up in Waco with her mother and five siblings. She is the only one in the family to graduate from college.
The whole family is working at Fat Ho Burgers, but Evans said she had to invest everything she owned to start it.
"I had to sell my car, my tires, my TV, my laptop, my computer. I had to sell all this to get this up," she told KENS.
The name is bringing in the customers.
"I was just wondering is this the famous place we can get burgers at," one asked.

The menu's items include Supa Fly Ho with Cheese, Fat Chicken Ho or the Sloppy Ho Brisket. And for the younger Fat Ho customers, there's Tiny Ho Meals.
Owner Lakita Evans said the name came to her while she was watching a movie. "I was watching 'Phat Girlz' … and they had like a fat a-- burger and skinny a-- fries." The publicity surrounding her controversial burger joint has reportedly been great for business. On Wednesday, the cash-only business ran out of cash – and its supply of beef, KWTX.com reported.

If I walked in and the place looked clean, I’d definitely try it. Probably order me a Supa Fly Ho.

I wouldn't mind spending $6 on a burger if it was a good tasting hamburger. It's hard to find a good hamburger where I live. Most places use lousy chop meat and they use the spatula to smash the burger into a dry piece of cardboard.
