Thanks for the update. My wife has the recipe in her hand and we are shopping the ingrediants tomorrow AM.
Cool. i hope you like it. :)
You know, if there is one thing about bread machines that drive me crazy it is that everything has to be so precise. With mine, you have to use a tablespoon to spoon the flour into the measuring cup then level it off with a flat edge. The water is suppose to be 80F and has to be measured in a liquid measure cup.
When I went to put the starting ingredients into the pan, I almost messed up. I thought hey I don’t have to worry so much about the temp of the liquid because it is going to be sitting for a day or so and will get to room temp on its own. So, when I measured it out, instead of using the container I usually use, because it is plastic and can go into the microwave, I just used a measuring cup that I would use for flour and poured it into a jar then measured out the 8th cup (2 T I believe) and added it to the jar.
Then I got to the yeast part and thought oh darn, I do have to make sure it is the proper temp, so I poured it into the plastic container I use for that and guess what? It was exactly 1 cup. I’ve always heard the liquid measure cup is different than the dry measure. So I got another 8th cup. I guess they tell you to do things a certain way for a reason. lol
