Oh man, most people don't know this is a cover, but it is, and it's got to be of the greatest studio recordings ever:

Rush did an album awhile back just of covers, its called “Feedback”. Songs that they loved and influenced them as they were growing up.

“Summertime Blues” is real good on it, but my favorite is probably “Crossroads” made famous by Eric Clapton:

Ooh, I’m surprised nobody thought of that one yet, good one!

Thanks!

I like their cover of Words of Love too, the harmonies are delicious.

Me too! That's another great cover.

I gotta say, I think The Corrs cover of Little Wing is about the best one. Stevie Ray Vaughn's is tops for an electric version.

I love Rush, but I think their sound is a little too “clean” to do justice to a song like Crossroads. I kind of prefer Cream’s rough around the edges version.

I checked out Summertime Blues, and I think that fits their sound better. Definitely up there with the Blue Cheer and Who covers!

Call Me the Breeze is a keeper for sure. I love how they used it in My Name Is Earl, it’s the perfect redneck runnin’ from the law/angry woman/shotgun totin’ in-law song.

To me this is a big improvement over Bruce Springsteen’s original...Blinded by the light by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band.
