I was messing around ( on someone else's thread ) and suddenly got nostalgic for my influences from the 70's and thought about my absolute favorite cover in the world, a song that I would never tire of....
Here it is...

so, what is your favorite 'studio' cover??? it is friday night and all, lets forget about zero for a while.......
What you got???
No that isn’t one of mine.
I was just helping out with the link.
The instruments in this really grab me more than the lyrics:

That is a great cover. I didn’t know it was in dispute that Duane Allman played on it.
Its all good, I cut when I should have copied...
I never knew this was a cover. Have had the vinyl Derek album for decades.
How about Clapton’s 1987 version of JJ Cale’s “After Midnight”:

Court of the Crimson King
One of my all time favorites...

Loved Little Wing by Clapton.
Hated Court of the Crimson King cover, but must’ve listened to the album a million times. Moon Child is gorgeous but I talk to the wind is also.

Grace Slick used to be smokin' hot in the 70's as well
Allman played guitar on so many tracks of songs on that album ...I had always heard from friends that Duane died from hitting his head on the pavement )which was probably true)...damned motorcycles and all.........
The White Album
Where’s that Rick Roll clip?
