Whenever Obama comes on the TV my cat spits up a huge, really gross looking hairball. Does that count as human behavior?

I'm convinced that cats were history's first domesticated animal. Or, more correctly, they were the first animal to learn how to train humans.

When man transitioned from a hunter-gatherer to a farmer lifestyle, the lazy rodents followed man because it was much easier to steal what somebody else produced than to forage it yourself. Thus, rats and mice were the first liberals among mammals.

Cats, on the other hand, were the first pragmatic conservatives. While man complained about rodents stealing and ruining the food supply which they had carefully worked for, cats saw a need to be fulfilled. Where rodents gathered, there would not only be a steady food supply, they could also con man into providing them with shelter and companionship in return for protecting man from the theft of rodents.
