It had a happy ending — “Jack” bit it. But to get 3 hours into it was a long slog. Also, one would think she loved her eventual husband and want to meet HIM on the Other Side instead of some almost one night stand.
What a selfish bitch Rose was...
I watched Titanic back in HS and just fast forwarded it to the time when the iceberg hit the ship. And when the chick was naked, that was it.
I think overall women liked Titanic a WHOLE lot more than men.. Like Pearl Harbor.. side stories of a chick flick variety in there .. for guys it muddies the water.. for gals, it makes it a better story more or less. Well that is the consensus of my friends = men & women
For a couple of good Titanic movies see ‘A Night To Remember’(1958)
and ‘Titanic’ (1953) with Barbara Stanwyck and Clifton Webb.
This one defly blends fact with fiction, while A Night To Remember, an excellent Brittish film is more documentary like.
Back when Titanic came out, they were still selling VHS tapes, and it was long enough that it took up two of them. I always thought they should have made them available for purchase separately -- the first tape for women, and the second one for men.
I felt the same way about the Jackson remake of King Kong.
