Smith and Wesson does make a fine looking 22 mag but it is twice the money as the Taurus. Doesn't look twice as good and I doubt if it shoots twice as good.

we can't have any thing that holds more than 10 bullets in the clip.
Please, Oh please an 'empty magazine' holds no rounds.
You must also remember that clips, or 'stripper clip'(s) are reserved for use in that Mauser, Springfield 03, or a Garand rifle. Don't worry, nobody here on this FR forum would ever say you are a Putz for speaking like a Left Wing Doofus you writes for Time, NY Times, or Vanity Fair.

to me “magazines” is the same as Political Correct snob crap. I've been around guns my whole life and had my first 22 at age 8. All that time I've called them clips and don't give a damn who likes it or not. Matter of fact, everyone else I grew up with called them clips. This is in N. Calif. Maybe they are magazines at Harvard. LOL Playboy is a magazine.

The S&W is twice as good in component quality, metallurgy, fit and finish.
I have waited TWO years for a warranty fix on a Taurus. Two years. I will not carry any new firearms from them and will not be involved in any service/warranty issue with them.
I do this for a living. You can save a little cash and shoot your Taurus. Just don’t bring it to me when it’s broke.

All that time I've called them clips and don't give a damn who likes it or not. Matter of fact, everyone else I grew up with called them clips. This is in N. Calif. We're just going by the terminology that the US military and the manufacturers use. If you designate them incorrectly in the military, you might end up doing something similar to the "This is my weapon, this is my gun" song for a few hours.
Mechanically speaking, you are using the wrong terminology. If this doesn't concern you, than you simply spurn education.
How much core memory does your PC have?

if we were talking wine, you sir, would be what is known as a wine snob. Around here, we'd just think of you as "proud to be ignorant". Correct nomenclature goes a long way to supporting intelligent conversation. Precise terminology can reduce the time it takes to convey important information. Not distinguishing correctly between "clip" and "magazine" is kind of like using do-hicky and thing-a-ma-bob when describing engine parts to an auto mechanic. There are sound mechanical and behavioral reasons to distinguish between "clips" and "magazines", aside from the point of sounding ignorant. (Did you read your weapon's manual? There is important safety information in there; and, I hope you know to what they refer when safety issues are discussed.) In combat, you might call for a "clip" and receive something that doesn't fit your weapon. Then you might soak up a bayonet. There is nothing snobbish about pointing out correct nomenclature; however, there is something odd about resisting a proper education.
I adore Sarah. I'll write her onto the ticket if needed.

...if we were talking wine... Lest I forget:
1 - I switch into "learn mode" when discussing topics in the presence of people who know more than I.
2 - I couldn't image myself talking about wine. Boring! My friends talk guns, politics, and other interesting things. I try really hard not to appear ignorant. Corrections are generally applied with a pile-on driven by glee.
Use of correct nomenclature is a survival instinct. ;-D
...I'm betting you don't like Sarah Palin (Elitist Republican I bet)...
You are the one who justified your terminology based upon going with the herd. I'm a very independent sort of guy. Crowd following is for lemmings.

HK-91, 7.62 NATO, 20 round Mag, and you can take it swimming, drag it through mud and sand and it won't care. Now, if only women could be so easy to get along with!

Crowd following is for lemmings.I prefer a sort of conforming individuality, where I express how different I am, by doing exactly like everyone else in the crowd does.

Dead wrong!
Clips were used in M-1’s in WW2, Magazines are used in all post WW2 light weapons for a good reason. magazines keep dirt and mud out of the receiver. If clips were used in Vietnam, our KIA count would have been triple what it was.
Get it right......Clips and Magazines are NOT the same thing.
