Wow! Nothing like that here in Huntsville, Alabama. The moon was slightly larger than normal when it rose earlier this evening but now it looks the same as always.

Remember too, the moon almost always looks larger as it rises from the horizon than it does when it reaches the middle of the sky.

Back in the sixties, serious articles and an entire book were written by conscientious and fastidious experimental Psychologists on "The Moon Illusion," offering empirical research and explanations for this phenomenon. But that was back when psychologists were actual scientists. Only relics like me remember such strenuous efforts.

WE took a little walk in the woods to check our deer stand. Did not even need any lights. Its like daylight out there. What a beautiful sight.
