"Where he was born isn’t nearly as important."

Actually it is. I'm not an expert but there has been a lot of commentary on this in regards to what the laws of citizenship were at the time of his birth. His Father obviously was not a citizen and his mother was. However, his mother was under 18 at the time and the law said something to the effect that if one one parent was a citizen and under 18, the child had to be born in the U.S. to be considered a natural born citizen.

I may have mixed up minor details, but that is essentially the issue in 100 words or less. So if he was born outside the U.S. or it's territories, he's not a natural born citizen and ineligible to be President.

In order to be a “natural born citizen”, both parents have to be US citizens. The “birthrite citizenship” given to Mexicans and other invaders is the result of an erroneous interpretation.

It doesn’t matter where he was born, his father was not a USA citizen. A natural born citizen must have both parents as USA citizens - that is a requirement to be president.

For the last 230 years Natural born citizenship required that both parents be American citizens. It is not based on place of birth. Until such time as there is a Constitutional amendment to change the meaning of Natural born, obama is not the President. if obama was born in Kenya(99 % chance) he is a Kenyan national as his mother was too young to convey citizenship in 1961. if he was born in Hawaii(1%chance) he would be a native born citizen, still not eligible to be the President. Regardless ,of how you look at it obama IS NOT the President of the United States.

Two conditions are required for one to be a Natural Born Citizen.

1) Both parents are citizens of the US.
2) Born on US soil.

Obama fails on the first requirement, and was never eligible to be president, per the US Constitution.

The issue of where he was born is a moot point, because of this.

Yes you did. That child could never be a natural born citizen if both parents were not citizens. Doesn’t matter if he was born in the White House.
