What our this POTUS did was abandon his legal, adopted name, and without legal petition, went back to using "0bama." - He chose resignation from the Bar of the State of Illinois, rather than face a disbarrment hearing after an inquiry. The actual reasons are, as is customary, sealed upon reaching the agreement.

However, we absolutely do know from public records that 0bama lied when he told the Bar on his Application that he had never used, or been known by another name. (He also denied drug use, and traffic violations.) Not one reporter to my knowledge has ever looked this up. Nor has anyone ever publicly asked 0bama about it.

The cover up on this guy is beyond the scope of human control if you ask me. At every turn what used to be a slam dunk cause for proof of his being a phony is ignored by even those who, in the past, we would have relied on to out this pos. I don’t think he’s the anti Christ but the era is upon us it seems.

Note that people resign from the Bar Association all the time--usually because they don't want to comply with CLE requirements; commonly under conditions in which such failure to comply is treated as an ethics violation for which you can be kicked out.

In both of the states with which I am familiar, that is the single most common reason for resignation. Right behind at #2 is failure to establish, maintain and use a trust account that provides that the interest earned goes to the bar association to support worthy (left wing) objectives.

Not to say that is why he (and Michelle) resigned; but it would not be surprising. Many lawyers have trouble complying with CLE rules.
