A dog in Oregon is up for a national award after saving her owners life, The Oregonian reported.
Ceili, a 15-year-old Lab mix, doesnt usually get too excited but one day last August, she stood by her owners side, trying to block his path, licking his face and even sniffing his breath.

If the dog were given the choice between a national award and a piece of bacon laying on a sidewalk, I’d bet he’d choose the bacon.

Dogs are so smart and so good. We often underestimate their intelligence because they don’t speak English and their instinctive behavior can be disgusting to us. But look at this dog, who had the sense to realize her master couldn’t climb stairs and would be hurt!
And all she asks in return is human love. And, yes, some bacon. ;-)

I’d go for the bacon myself.
