Goldy left and talked to his supervisor and a police officer. Sorry....that's funny. All I can picture is an idiotic mascot character pantomiming and making critter chatter-like noises.

Fans in the stands are not props for some mascot’s schtick. Sounds as if the man made his displeasure known but the mascot was still there doing his thing to him several minutes later. Goldy Gopher was being a bit of an @ss.

Goldie shouldn’t touch people. For one thing, tousling hair isn’t nice since some people might be wearing hairpieces.

Goldy is as
metrosexual as you can get.

If you don't want punched, don't keep harassing a fan by laying hands on them.
Then, again, I don't like strangers coming up behind me, tapping me and ruffling my hair. I consider it battery, and am liable to respond accordingly...especially if they keep it up,, after being ignored for “a couple of minutes”.
Wearing a weird costume is not a license to be an a-hole, though a lot of a-holes like to wear weird costumes.

Goldy Gopher should keep his hands to himself.

A witness says during the meet, the Gophers mascot tapped 60-year-old Douglas Dokken on the shoulder and ruffled his hair. At first, Dokken ignored Goldy's antics, but the witness says within a couple of minutes Dokken turned and punched Goldy in the face.

Good for the old guy. Goldy is nothing more than vermin fronting for the bankrupt academics that feed on Minnesotan’s blood.
