It was the rats who ran to another state to escape legislation. That’s not the Rs fault. I don’t see how it’s a mistake after about 3 weeks of flea-bagging Dems. How many warning does it take to give petulant children before the spanking happens?

As a taxpayer, I think the Republicans did the right thing. Its about time the unions stooges learn who pay their salary.

They should have done it in 5 mins before the Dems could kick in the Propaganda Machine, they shouldn’t have used the words collective bargaining at all.

Yes, they messed up...by taking too long and adopting the language of the enemy.

They have until the next election to repair the damage.

If the Governor is successful in fixing the state, no one is going to remember these days except for the Democrats fleeing the state and how they looked like fools.

Remember, American’s love a winner and hate a winer..... Right now there isn’t a winner but the winer is already apparent.

I’m not saying they did anything wrong. In fact I think they showed great restraint. But, how will the public overall see it?

Public opinion was ALREADY turning against Walker due to the media being on the unions side. The longer they waited, the more people the media would have swung. It neede to end now. Thats why he’s wrong.

I think the repubs should have started slamming through non-budgetary legislation the day the dems left the state. I’m not saying this will turn out too little, too late, but it very well could.

No, your hubby is wrong. He’s a swell guy for marrying a Freeper but..

This situation on the ground cannot be dragged anymore. The law required that a specific time-frame was given if you read the released e-mails to the public PLEADING for the Dems to come back.

After the Dems INTENTIONALLY communicated with Walker that they won;t come back that the communique turned into a useless squabble and found that there really was a law that allowed the remaining senators to vote without quorum which is 19.8 votes.

I agree with you. And I don’t think they did a thing wrong. I’m just wondering how the public at large will take it? I’m hoping they will look at it favorably. But, who knows?

The unions and their thugs have been prepared to go ‘all in’ on this since day one so we might as well get it on. The GOP waited for the rats to return for over three weeks and the rats were prepared to stay away indefinitely so today was as good a day as any to put an end to the union/rat circus.

Walker needs to be on TV every day for the next 10 days - giving FACTS, FACTS, FACTS, about union wage/pension craziness, and about WI’s financial situation.

Your husband is so very wrong.

People ultimately respect backbone; even the 'Rats. No one likes a wishy-washy politician - no one.

Walker and the Wisconsin Republicans will be heros with the vast majority of American taxpayers.

The Unions and Dems will do what they always do, they’ll become more angry and more uncouth, thus further marginalizing themselves.

Tonight civil society and representative constitutional government won!

I agree. I heard Greta talking about just that thing. Someone not politically connected to either party that works at the capital and over sees these things, said every thing appeared to be exactly done the way WI constitution said it needed to be done.
