Did the Republican's make a mistake in Wisconsin?
My hubby | 3/9/2011 | MsLady

My hubby said he thinks the republican's screwed up in Wisconsin. He said he thought public opinion would turn against them now. He thought they should have just waited the democrats out and let them sweat it out in IL. Comments and keep in nice :) it's late and I don't feel like getting yelled at.

He runs against a Democrat candidate. Her Facebook page doesn’t give the feel of an impartial judge of law :)

It is all in the perception isn’t it? If the right thinks they’ve already lost so many just give up, that’s they way it was in the past. It can be pretty defeating when you see over and over again how the left is so adored by everybody(lamestream media’s version and skewed polls).

I think Walker surprised everybody, including me. I was delighted. In the past to many republicans caved, either totally, or partially. God bless him. I agree with your comments too. That’s the way it looked to me. Like a bunch of spoiled dangerous children, throwing a huge tantrum. They just showed the rest of the country their true colors and they are dark and ugly.

I think the thing that bothers me the most about the public unions is, you can’t fire them. No matter how bad the worker is, it’s almost impossible. And of course the benefits and some of the wages are ridiculous.

“Walker and the Wisconsin Republicans will be heros with the vast majority of American taxpayers. The Unions and Dems will do what they always do, they’ll become more angry and more uncouth, thus further marginalizing themselves. Tonight civil society and representative constitutional government won!”

You are correct! Now, on to the other states that are considering these steps. Time to take down ALL public unions, placing public servants in 401(k) and private health plans, making them adhere to all rules to which private-sector (ie, productive) workers are held. This will take a lot of wind from the democrat party sails, particularly Obama, which is the key intent.

TAKE THE PUBLIC UNIONS DOWN!!!!!

The reaction on the left has been to act like animals and issue hardcore death threats.

Thusly, Walker won.

True, and that's why on this board I have made it part of my mission to deliberately counteract defeatism on our side. It is created by smoke and mirrors on the left, and that is bad enough, but then we perpetuate it by accepting the lie as true. That's got to stop. Confidence and optimism, when grounded in reality, are among our most powerful weapons against the left. Each of us, you, your husband, me, we all contribute to our own eventual defeat to the extent we believe the manufactured illusions of the left. These lies are designed on purpose to discourage us and take us out of the fight, but whether that design works depends on us. If we are on the side of what is right and good and real, then Heaven itself is with us, and nothing should discourage us ever.

Mint is a great addition! I think everything might get sticky over this Union stuff, but we’re just going to have to bear our way through it. It will get better. You and hubby may have different ideas, but at least you are talking to each other! :) Being able to freely share with your spouse even when you disagree is a true blessing! Ya’ll have a great day!

Hubby is all for what’s going on, he just isn’t sure they handled it right. As for talking to one another, well, sometimes it’s talking rather loudly at one another...lol And yes fresh mint is awesome with sweet tea.

Taking nothing from your husband, I am confident that I am correct in this. I have quite a few years of political experience — and the gray hair, battle scars, and war stories to prove it.
