I was born during the Eisenhower administration.

However, the first recollection I have is the Nixon/JFK campaign in 1960.

My Dad was a diehard Republican - he voted straight Republican ticket - and being in Texas it was tough hearing it at elementary school...then it got only rougher in ‘64 when LBJ ran against Goldwater......

My father voted straight Republican too until he died. He’s been voting Democrat ever since.
