On any given day, Glenn Becks show at 5:00 PM Eastern on Fox News, has better ratings than Foxs Greta Van Susterens show that runs at night, prime time shall we say. Susteren, regardless how weak she is versus the others in the evening at FNC, is still stronger than the hot-heads on MSNBC and the losers at CNN. Therefore, it is strange the Drudge Report-posted pending NYT story that Fox and Beck will part ways.
Indeed, Beck being extreme may be the reason as to why Beck may end his career at Fox. However if he is extreme, in addition to having ratings way better than Maddow, Shultz and others, maybe MSNBC should hire Beck
“Interesting.”
Beyond interesting. We were speculating several weeks ago that if Beck was to suddenly go to ground he might be heading for his retreat. Which gives the rest of us about 3 weeks to get to our retreats. You think people (big people) don’t call him and tell him stuff?
That would never happen with that evil station...
I was being facetious--I'm sure everyone at MSNBC considers Beck to be worse than Hitler. (Except maybe Joe Scarborough.)
I think Beck would make a great college professor. He is very knowledgeable about so many things and the way he describes it with the visual aids is like being in a classroom, but in addition to that, he makes it interesting, not boring, like so many average professors. I’m not a huge Beck fan but I like what he’s doing and think the guy’s a genius.
The best thing to do is wait until something ACTUALLY happens. I wouldn’t put it past the New York Slimes to put out lies to bring down a Conservative, would you ?
“may”
“He is very knowledgeable about so many things...”
Not sure if we want a teacher who says that we bought Alaska in the 1950’s.
You have a source for that or are you just trolling as usual?
The info originates from the NYSlimes who are having a wet dream about Beck’s departure.

He'll hit the ceiling tonight!
Beck has done some good things (not the least of which was exposing Van Jones), but I cannot stand to watch or listen to the guy...he is beyond annoying anymore!
I usually listen to Laura Ingraham before Rush, but am not able to pick her up at my new office. I thought, well, I’ll listen to Beck. I swear the guy has a serious case of ADD! One minute he’s providing his daily dose of “we’re doomed!” or I plead with you, I beseech you, I beg of you heed what Im saying! The next minute he and his “Mini Me” Stu are talking in those stupid voices joking about something or other. Oh, and every other commercial (usually after is Armageddon speech) is for that “Daily Bread” 30-year food supply company. Just sayin
Glenn, Id love to listen to you, but until you get focused on the issues in a meaningful way (not just the “we’re on the verge of Armageddon!” or “we’re doomed!”) I’m through listening to you! Oh, and would you please stop whining every show that everybody thinks you’re crazy! Many of us know you’re not crazy, you just don’t know when to knock off the theatrics! To some degree, you give people ammunition to fire at you.
(Artcore awaits his tongue lashing by Beck devotees.)
Hmmm, then don't watch?
You sound concerned....
Something is afoot! Beck knows about The British Nationality Act of 1048!
The British Nationality Act of 1948!
This is great news to me. I’ve been looking for a great deal on bulk used blackboards.
ROFLOL!
Beck is pretty good. He likes Fox News. Don’t see why he would leave. Unless his health is bad. His hour is at the wrong time for viewers. Mix it in with some drunk in the GOP trying to attack him for stating facts. Then you have what we have. If anyone is to blame is the GOP if he left Fox News without a legitimate reason.
Hmmm, then don’t watch?

I don’t anymore.
Thanks for your concern.
Who knows what will happen? 5PM Eastern is a terrible timeslot. I only catch his show via DVR and I often I don’t have time to watch so end up deleting many of the episodes. His company brings in $30 million in revenue and I believe the Fox contract is for $5 million and he uses some of that to pay for staff researchers. Unless he gets a better contract or timeslot, it may not be worth the time and aggravation for him. He’s a very smart businessman and his TV show has raised his profile, allowing him to sell more books and he is developing his own portal with TheBlaze.com. He needs to score with uncovering a big Obama scandal to boost his falling ratings. His ratings are quite good for his time period, but the constant attack of the left has scared off many advertisers
Consider this: the shows before him on that hour he does were much lower in ratings. They just could not hold water to the ratings he gets.
