Washington, D.C. radio station WMAL is once again being accused of firing a popular talk show host because of his criticism of radical Muslims. The station, a major source of news and information for the nations capital, claims that popular morning host Fred Grandy resigned on his own, but Grandy tells AIM that he was essentially forced to leave after his wife, who is also outspoken about radical Islam, was cut from the program...........

I am getting so sick and tired of these damn filty cockroaches.
Sickening. Politicalcorrectthink runs amok again.
This really isn’t about CAIR; Fred’s program was hardly a ratings success, and WMAL was looking to make a change. Drew Hayes, the program director who supervises both WMAL and WLS in Chicago, banned Mrs. Fred, knowing that Grandy would resign.
More background on the events that led to Fred’s departure:

WMAL wasn’t caving to CAIR; they were caving to something far more important in the radio biz: ratings and money.
Disgusting. WMAL management should be ashamed, but they obviously care more about appeasing radical Muslim front organizations with terrorist ties (CAIR) than standing up for free speech in America. These terrorist-affiliated Muslim organizations know exactly how to play the Sharia-compliant media. Threats of legal action over alleged ‘defamatory’ comments, often taken from public records and, always, the use of ‘religious persecution’ as a hammer to beat back valid criticism. CAIR is a subversive Muslim organization that is being used to camouflage Muslim extremism in America by pretending that any and all criticism of radical Islam is ‘racism’ and, essentially, illegal. At the least ‘unacceptable’. The Muslims know how to use our freedoms against us and to manipulate the media into doing their bidding using ‘bias’ and ‘PC’ garbage as their rationale. WMAL is just playing the part of ‘useful idiot’ to the radial Muslim groups.
Yes.
The money they make in radio. When I was in it a hundred bucks a week was normal. And that’s why I’m not in it anymore.
The night of Nixon’s resignation I started putting callers on the air and the “Talk Back Show” was born. It was a hit in the small town. Maybe I should have hung in there.
