Didn’t somebody develop a new way to container yams recently?

It wasn’t me! Up here on The Frozen Tundra you gotta get slips early, bury them in warm soil, weather permitting. Top with black plastic and lots of straw.

You know - there’s a REASON that certain things grow in certain climates! It is what it is...and the NORTH is NOT KNOWN for growing Sweet Potatoes or YAMS for that matter! (ALL potatoes come from freakin’ PERU! You do the longitude and lattitude calculations!)

Regular potatoes? Onions? Cranberries? Carrots? Beef & Dairy products that would bring you to your KNEES? Sure! Wisconsin can do that!

But, no. Everyone wants to grow whatever they CAN’T grow in their area just to prove that they can! (And they can’t!) And if there is ONE seed box empty on my ‘Wall-O-Seeds’ of the 60,000 things I offer - the customer wants the ONE box that is EMPTY! Grrr! Such is Human Nature...

Enjoy the seasons! Enjoy the produce that grows NEAR YOU IN season. Eat seasonally and locally and you CAN’T Go wrong.

And if you can’t? Gather up your stuff and MOVE nearer the foods that you just can’t LIVE without! :)

Papaya obsessed? Well, you’re NOT going to find it here in Wisconsin, LOL! Move.

*Rant Off*
