Yes, I want to grow the vegetable. My soil is Miserable Clay, so I want to grow in a container.

Didn’t somebody develop a new way to container yams recently?

Last year, I planted several extra sweet potatoes in large 16 inch pots. They didn’t do so well. But the 3’x5’ double raised bed worked great. Two levels made with 2x8 lumber, so about 15 inches of soil.

I planted in the raised bed on 15 inch centers, so I thought the 16 inch pots would work. But they didn’t. Great vines and all, but very small if any sweet potatoes.
