Cheese-Its. I know they’re bad for you. I know they’re just processed, well, something. The cardboard box they come in probably has more organic material in it than the contents of the box... I don’t care. Cheese-Its and diet Mt. Dew. I’ve driven across entire States fueled by nothing else.

Ritz crackers with American Muenster, sopresa or genoa salami from Volpi, and hot sweet mustard. Doc or O’Fallon Gold to drink.

I’m right with you on the salami and pepperoni, a sharp cheese and some crackers.
I also love nachos.

I sometimes have to eat a snack near bedtime to settle my stomach. Right now I have chips ahoy chewy, a bag of Cheetos twisted, and I often go get a cup of yogurt from the fridge. Also a bag of york peppermints and a bag of twix. The only reason I bought the Twix is they were marked down.
Now I really like them. Should have tried them earlier.

Vegemite---I might be the ONLY American who likes that stuff... Trust me, you ARE the only American who likes Vegemite. I tried that stuff once, while living with a family in England. The only thing I can kindly compare it to, is axle grease.

Hum... favorite snack food... Tillamook Extra Sharp cheese on anything. Other than that, chocolate anything. Popcorn, made on the stove in corn oil, with Johnny's Popcorn Salt. That stuff will likely kill me, but it will be a good passing... LOL
Oh, and triscuts with Parmesan cheese slices. NOM NOM NOM. I have too many favorites.

I must admit I’m a huge fan of pickled herring. Two jars waiting in the fridge.
My fav is with sour cream BUT I never buy it with sour cream in the jar.
Buy the herring, drain, add high quality sour cream and stir.

I hate the idea of maybe a great snack food out there that I am missing out on.
I feel that. My $0.02:
I like heavily salted in-shell edamame. Nuke or boil.
Hummus with broccoli, cauliflower, celery or the like. I prefer a spicy hummus. Add sriracha if you can't find one COTS.
An interesting snack I saw Rick Bayless have in Mexico was a cheese crisp. Sprinkle shredded cheese on a medium hot skillet. Cook until it gets crispy. Pull it off and break of pieces of crispy delicious cheese. Mmm.

1. pot stickers (also called gyoza).
They are kind of a chinese/japanese meat and veggie filled dumpling. Buy them frozen. Fry in a little oil, then dip them in a sweet/soy dipping sauce called Trader Joe’s Gyoza Dipping Sauce, I think. Or, my kids’ favorite method is to boil them in chicken broth and add some green onions/ginger/soy sauce.
2. any homemade cookies, especially oatmeal spice.
3. spinach dip and sliced baguette sandwiches.

We like ice cream but hubby is diabetic so I make it myself. We’ve tried several different flavors. Some didn’t work out so well like, of all things, blueberry.
Buttered popcorn and Triscut crackers with garden veggie cream cheese.
