A Pennsylvania woman on vacation in Florida took a tip from two dolphins to save a lost Doberman Pinscher that got stranded on a sandbar.
When Audrey D'Alessandro and her husband, Sam, walked out of their home on Marco Island, near Naples, Fla., to go fishing, "we saw these two dolphins, and they were splashing and making this big commotion" in a canal behind their vacation home, she said.
Although it is not uncommon to see dolphins swimming through the canal on their way to the Gulf of Mexico, Audrey D'Alessandro said that this time, "they were just there, in one place, splashing water against the canal wall."

Dear Mr Robinson - Dear Jim,
With full realization that this is a benevolent dictatorship, and with the full understanding that we FReepers contribute knowing that at some point we cede to you and your Mods the reins of decorum and control, I respectfully ask (I think for all of us) that you reconsider your suspension of JoeProBono.
None of us is sure what he did that warranted suspension, and we are fully aware that, like all of us from time to time, Joe was prone to hubris and an overly wry wit. We do not know if this was a major infraction of decorum or if Joe simply ticked somebody off. We are also aware that you need to stand by your Mods and support their decisions, lest they lose control of this forum.
Many colorful characters have come and gone here on FR. Some are missed and some are missed, but not in a sad way.
The initial feeling on the part of many of us is that the loss of JPB is one that diminishes our whole, rather than enhancing our strength.
This is not written with the assumption that you owe me or anyone else an explanation. It is simply written because if I did not express these thoughts, I would not be the FRiend to JPB that I claimed to be while he was still here.

What if Joe is sitting somewhere, watching all this and ~finally~ realizing that his friends are all single-mindedly loyal but completely insane?....;D

Wrong frequency. The rate has to be around 10Hz to send epileptics into fits. The rate on this animation is just 1Hz.
It should have made you sillier. Oh, I see that it has.

Hello, fine discussion your having here....but if it is not too much trouble, could you please start your own thread on this JPB subject?
As you have totally hijacked this thread. Give it a rest so some of us can read about the original subject matter that started this thread in the first place.
Thank you for returning this thread to its original subject.

On the other hand, if you have a Lab he will LOVE to have a little kid pet his head, pull his tail, ride on his back, stick his hand in his mouth . . . .
But they are just as loyal and they can do a pretty good ferocious when called upon. My little (38 pound) Chocolate Lab faced down a pit bull mix stray that started stalking us one afternoon as we took our walk. She got in between us, raised up all her hackles, showed all her teeth, and growled a tremendous horrible growl that started way down in her belly. The stray obviously recognized that she would sell her life dearly, and he remembered an important appointment he had somewhere else.
(It wouldn't have gotten that far because I had Mr. Sam Colt's Equalizer in my back pocket, but Shelley-Dog's credible threat did the trick.)
