"Only other person in the music industry I ever heard of as famous for firing druggies was Frank Zappa." Well, the members of Pink Floyd didn't exactly "fire" Sid Barrett, but they did consciously decide to not pick him up on their way to a concert one day.

Frank was about the music. It would not have been possible for his band to have played such rhythmically complex music in such a tight fashion while being stoned.
