You saw “The Black Swan”?
Cause the only movies I saw, having a 7 year old granddaughter who I take to see the animated stuff were...duh, the animated movies.
I’d doubt I’d ever see The Black Swan as it’s not something I’d want to see. I watch either cartoons or comedies, sometimes a Chick flick.
But way I see it, Hollywood has a kind of Natalie Portman obsession. She’s been their darling for yay many years and anything she’s in seems to get attention/nominations.
This year she’s pregnant, eh? It’s the stuff the drama queens adore.
so far, love Nicole Kidman’s gown the best.

who was that girl whose body was screaming for food? I saw Inception — weird movie full of odd special effects but absoluely no human emotion. Hated it. Hated Toy story 3 ... it was sad and boring. Liked The Social Netgwork but it made me sick. Forgive my typing errors ... not gonna bother to correct them. This is my husband’s laptop and I’m not used to the keyboard.

I concur - it’s a fine film.
I’m back at my usual computer till the awards start. I could have seen the King’s Speech Saturday, but I opted for Harry Potter at the dollar movie. Admission $1.25, coke 2.25, sandwich - free I smuggled it in in my purse because the movie was so long and they always eat in Harry Potter movies, but nobody ate a bite in this one.
Is it just me, or is the coverage incredibly boring.
I’m hoping Winter’s Bone wins something. Really good movie, but treated like the ugly stepchild with all the hoopla for every other movie.

I never watch these awards shows. I’m watching “The Rock” with Sean Connery (for the 50th time) on the Flix channel.
I did not see Winter’s Bone. If it keeps the dyke-fests of “Black Swan” or “Kids Are All Right” out of the winners circles, it good to me.
Dollar movies. Haven’t been to one of those since about 1997 (Boogie Nights) in Florida. Fun times!
Wow Franco & Hathaway are painfully bad.
It’s not just you. the opening segment was beyond lame, the hosts are blah. I can’t believe how boring this is. I may give it up.
Hathaway and Kidman both had that white dress with bling thing going on. Could be the next trend.
They seem likable, the material was awful.
