Books That Will Make Your Blood Boil

The book I am reading now raises my blood pressure with each page. Other books have done the same. I'm not talking about books written by liberal authors, I'm talking about truthful books that really upset me. Here are three to start it off:

"Blacklisted By History" by M Stanton Evens. What do you think you know about Joe McCarthy? You won't believe how the commies have infiltrated our government (specifically the State Department with Harry Truman's help) and destroyed a good man while totally rewriting history.

"The Forgotten 500" by Gregory A. Freeman. More reasons to despise the State Department

"Master Of War: General George Thomas" by Benson Bobrick. U.S. Grant and William T. Sherman...talk about a couple of petty, dishonest individuals. (This from a Southern sympathizing yankee)

Any other suggestions for those who suffer from low blood pressure?

Howard Zinn's People's History of the United States makes my blood boil every time I run across a copy that is touted as received truth by a teacher who doesn't know history to a student who never will.

“The Road to Serfdom” by Friedrich Hayek. Hayek nailed it almost 70 years ago.

I picked up a older hardback copy of ‘Witness’ at a library used book sale last year. It’s still sitting on my bookshelf. I think it’s next on my reading list when I’m finished w/my pile of library books, LOL. I was happy to find it though, along with a copy of ‘Free to Choose’ by Milton and Rose Friedman.

I have literally filled my bookshelves with stuff from those library sales (much to my husband’s amusement). I’m addicted to book shopping like some women are with shoes ;)

I would say they've infiltrated more than just our government.

Except, of course, for the timetable. This year, mayhaps. .

Try The New Dealers War; the war within WWII by Thomas Fleming. He builds an excellent case about the Communists in the FDR administration and how the Second World War was fought to save Joseph Stalin and the USSR's asses.

Ya think that could ever possibly happen in the real world?

I picked up Witness for 50 cents at a used book sale. It is a long book but when I started, I was so fascinated I could not stop reading.

I just heard Donald Rumsfeld mention Witness on CSpan. Ronald Reagan always mentioned Witness as one of his favorites.

Ya think that could ever possibly happen in the real world? ...I think there were a lot of lies told, deals made, legalities bent to drive Nixon from office - 'rats and other libs saw his problems as a way to weaken not only him but all Repubs and to augment power for themselves - many of them were Kennedy loyalists - some of them were probably plotting - we did end up with Carter, but probably only because he started campaigning for the '76 nomination very early and often - in any event, the thread is about book titles that make your blood boil, and this one makes mine.....
