Firefighters Find Repeat Paint-Huffer In Snow [Patrick Tribett]

WHEELING, W.Va. -- An Ohio County man with a familiar face is again in the Northern Regional Jail accused of huffing paint.
Officers said firefighters found Patrick Tribett in the snow on Main Street in Wheeling just before noon Wednesday.
Tribett is charged with huffing an intoxicant. He has been arrested several other times in the Ohio Valley towns for huffing paint.

I do have compassion for him. These people don’t have any brain cells left. I don’t know if they are even capable of helping themselves anymore.
It’s really sad when people purposely do things that cause such severe brain damage.

Although I don’t agree with what the guy was doing ..Since when was “huffing an intoxicant” illegal?

Yes, several years ago, the 25 year old son of a co-worker was huffing from the family car’s gas tank. His father was chasing him away, trying to get him to stop. [The son was much larger than the father]. The young man died later that night.
Nairobi street boys used to stand around with a old tin can, containing a bit of gasoline, tied around their neck. You can get “high” from so many things. It is impossible to control them all.
It is a variation of the “guns don’t kill people, people do” idea. People create drug/substance abuse. “Evil” substances don’t jump out and grab you. People looking for an artificial thrill to give meaning to their lives choose to ingest these things.
