I agree, I’ve had a pair of factory restored CZ 50’s and a CZ 75, new, in 9mm. All were very dependable and accurate, although the 75 was a little harsh on the recoil. At the time, late 80’s and early 90’s in Germany, you could buy the CZ’s for about half what the Sig’s cost.

When Jeff Cooper set out to build his ideal combat pistol, the Bren Ten, he based the design on the CZ75.

In the early 90's when the SAS was looking to replace the Hi-Power, the rank and file wanted the CZ75B, but the MOD deferred to the Sig only because the Czech Republic had only recently emerged from behind the iron curtain, and was not deemed an adequately proven ally.

Those two endorsements are good enough for me :-)
