Mickey is my second favorite all-time actor (first is James Stewart).

Having read Mickey's own autobiography, yes, he was a jerk. Even by his own admission. He spent more time golfing on his honeymoon with Ava Gardner, than with her. In his later years, he calmed down a whole lot. Especially, after becoming a Christian, he said. There was a story about an angel encounter he wrote of that was wonderful.

I hope things get straightened out. I always wanted to meet him and wish him all the peace in the world.

I certainly enjoyed (and still do) all the Andy Hardy movies, but one of my favorites was ‘Quicksand’. That movie was anything but lighthearted comedy.

By the way, my favorite actor has always been James Cagney, but Gary Cooper, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant, and Edward G. Robinson (of course!) are right up there. They just don’t make movies like the ones they starred in anymore.

By the way, not to sell the ladies short, my favorite actresses were Kate Hepburn, Greta Garbo, Bette Davis, and Deborah Kerr. Honorary mention to the fantastic conservative, Jane Russell.
