A Republican budget bill would strip gray wolves of Endangered Species Act protections across most of the Northern Rockies.
A two-sentence provision tucked into the GOP's continuing budget resolution directs Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to reissue a 2009 rule that took wolves off the endangered list in Montana, Idaho and parts of Oregon, Washington and Utah.

In fact both federal and state scientists have said wolves should be delisted so the states can effectively manage them.

Why muck up a budget bill with this?
TV, last night “Alaska State Troopers” said bag limit on wolves was ten per hunter. Also showed game rangers shooting from Helio.
I doubt it’s mucking it up. It’s two lines and many in both parties support lifting protections. Had it not been for federal judge Molloy siding with enviros and relisting wolves in the Northern Rockies this wouldn’t be necessary.
Alaska has a real problem in some areas with wolves. When the enviro nazis see wolves hunted from choppers they go ballistic but that’s the only way to be effective in some areas.

On that show last night they admitted to a least one known death by wolves of a human. That’s one too many! We may see this in the lower States soon, just like mountain lions in the Rockies and California now.
